What are eyelash extensions?
Eyelash extension is a new procedure that extends the real lash with a new weightless and very natural looking synthetic mink lash.
How is the eyelash extension performed?
Classic eyelash extension: Apply one extension to each of your natural lashes using a special bonding agent that lasts through the length of your natural growth cycle of each lash. Depending on the look you seek, we apply 60 to 100 synthetic mink lashes to each eye, on average.
Volume eyelash extensions (Russian volume lashes): Apply multiple extensions to each of your natural lashes using a special bonding agent that lasts through the length of your natural growth cycle of each lash. Depending on the look you seek, we can apply 200 to 600 synthetic mink lashes to each eye.

How long do they last?
When properly applied, lash extensions can be worn throughout the year with minimal monthly maintenance. Your lashes have a life cycle. Because the extensions are safely glued to your real lashes, when the natural ones fall out, so do the extensions. Touch-ups are recommended after the initial full set application to refill any that have cycled out. A touch-up appointment is recommended every 2-4 weeks based on your natural growth to have the fullest lashes.
What is considered a refill vs full set?
After several weeks, you lashes may shed at varying degrees. If you have shed less than 50% of your eyelash extensions when you come in for a retouch, then we consider that as refill. However, if more than 75% of your lashes have shed, we will consider that doing a full set of lashes.
Can lash extensions harm my natural lashes?
When applied properly by our Lash L'Amour experts, lash extensions will not harm natural lashes. A proper technique requires several different "separation" steps during application, so each extension is adhered to a single natural lash. This way we don't interrupt the lash growth cycle.
Is the lash extension glued to my skin?
No, the extension lashes are adhered onto your existing eyelashes. The extension and adhesive will never come in contact with your skin.
How do I prepare for the service?
Preparing for your exciting journey to new lashes is easy. You should thoroughly clean your lashes with a mild oil-free cleanser. Be sure that not even a trace of mascara is left. Lashes should not be curled, lifted or permed. That's it. Since the procedure can last up to two hours, feel free to relax to music on your iPhone during your time at Lash L'Amour.
Can I swim, shower, exercise, or visit a spa while wearing eyelash extensions?
Most definitely. These new lashes won't interrupt your lifestyle. The bonding agent is waterproof and allows you to shower, swim, exercise, etc. Special care is required for the longest wear, but overall maintenance is low. We do recommend that you do not wash your eye area for 12 hours after the eyelash application, so that t
